Recycling your Woolcool packaging

Posted on October 3, 2024 by Rosie

Recycling your Woolcool® packaging.

The wool liners that come in your web boxes during the warmer months are a fabulous way to keep all your precious products cool. Woolcool®, the makers of these amazing blankets, have introduced a scheme to make sure they are reused and recycled in the best way possible.

How it works:

  • Fill a box or bag that can be sealed with as many of the wool cool liners as possible. The more that you fit into one parcel the better – this makes a huge difference to the carbon footprint.
  • Once packed, head over to the Woolcool® DPD portal – click here
  • Enter the name of the company you received the wool cool from. Here you will put Fen Farm Dairy.
  • Complete the form with all of your details and agree to the terms and conditions.
  • You can choose to print your own label or go paperless with a digital return. You are now ready to drop of your parcel – find your local drop off point here.

What happens next?

Once Woolcool® receive the parcel they will clean and reprocess it, ensuring it is Food and Pharma safe. It will then continue its life as a Woolcool® liner, used in an insulated envelope, an insulated bag or in one of their thermal boxes. Or if its deemed unsuitable for this process, they will look to reuse it in other products such as for bedding or mattress filling. Their goal is to limit their awesome material ending up in landfill, ensuring it is reused as many times as possible.

Visit Woolcool® website here for more information.
